Effective 4/1/2024, Highmark will be instituting Prior Authorization protocols for all plans. This will mean additional paperwork and time needed to accommodate their new policies and procedures. Unfortunately, this may shorten time for patient encounters due to the additional verification needed, and may limit both visit amounts and treatment based on what they deem as medically necessary. As a reminder, our follow-up visits without insurance are $50.
